Managing Director
Simon established the practice in 2002 after deciding larger, more money-oriented firms were less client-focused than he wanted to be. He joined the industry in 1979 and has worked in administrative and advisory roles across prominent firms.
Client needs are paramount — most business arrives by referral or long-standing professional connections. Outside work he recharges at a holiday home in Spain; he and Anna share life with their two dogs.
Office Manager
Sharon began at Barclays at 16, then Nationwide (promoted to local office manager), then Bradford & Bingley from 1989 — setting up the Sussex Mortgage Centre, gaining FPI and II qualifications, and becoming Branch Manager in Hove.
After maternity leave she worked as an independent mortgage adviser and in mortgage administration. She joined Stiles part-time in September 2005 after redundancy from Bradford & Bingley.
Financial Adviser · DipFA
Alex worked for Stiles during holidays, then joined full-time as a trainee adviser. After 18 months of study he qualified as a Financial Adviser in April 2019 (DipFA, London Institute of Banking & Finance) at first attempt.
He works alongside Simon on the advice process and business evolution. Outside work he is a Brighton season-ticket holder, local youth team manager, and enjoys motor racing and travel.
PA to Director
Michelle holds a Sports Science degree from Chichester University. After leisure-industry work she spent 10 years at NatWest, rising to Assistant Branch Manager, then seven years as Office Manager & Finance Assistant for a worldwide beauty company’s UK branch.
She joined Stiles as Administrator and was promoted to Personal Assistant to Simon. Outside work she cycles, goes to the gym, and snowboards whenever she can.
